Golitha Falls Nature Reserve
> in the Draynes Valley beyond Minions on Bodmin Moor. A National Nature Reserve provides a level walk by the River Fowey through beautiful oak woods; the path becoming more difficult as you approach the falls. Grid Ref. SX228690 |

Lydford Gorge >
on the edge of Dartmoor The gorge is 1½ miles long, to the White Lady waterfall and cascades. A choice of short walks or the complete circuit, which is more arduous. This is between Tavistock and Okehampton, so a little further away. National Trust Grid Ref. SX508846 |

Dartmoor > Dartmoor National Park has wonderful walks in stunning landscapes. Hound Tor has the remains of three or four medieval farmsteads; the village was first occupied during the Bronze Age and abandoned in the Middle Ages. |
